PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Public affairs work applies relevant scholarship to a defined question without displacing the independence of named contributors or the limits of available evidence.

A formal discussion among scholars and institutional leaders

Evidence

Submissions distinguish established findings, reasonable inference, uncertainty and matters on which evidence is incomplete.

Round tables

Meetings are convened around a defined question, an appropriate range of expertise and a clear record of attribution.

Briefings

Short papers state their scope, sources, authorship, review and date of currency.

Statements

Only a text approved through the stated institutional route is an Academy position.

Independence

Evidence before advocacy

Participation in an Academy meeting does not imply endorsement of a subsequent conclusion. A named contribution remains attributable to its author unless the publication record expressly identifies it as an approved Academy statement.

Meeting notices and substantive outputs are authenticated through the events and publication registers.
